Parental Protection

March 23, 2024 Dustin Plattner, Psy.D.

One of the bigger challenges parents have with their children is reducing the fear that can so easily permeate a household. As TVs, tablets, phones, and other screen devices are used by your child, these “black mirrors” usually propagate current news stories that can be filled with incredible amounts of fear inducing content. This particular sensationalized fear content is well know to pull in a high rate of monetary revenue for these media outlets. Examples can include wars, shootings, diseases of death, etc. the list goes on. During the last few years, parents have had the tough job of metabolizing these intense stories of fear propagated by the news for their children.

Successful parents know that continued fear is one of the most debilitating energies that can reduce the mental health of their child (e.g. depression, anxiety). Thus, they do everything in their power to protect them from it. A shielding from this “fear energy” has been essential for these families.

These successful parents have done a great job in metabolizing this “fear energy” with some basic common sense to help their child grow in a balanced way, as common sense is sometimes the best medicine. Moreover, they have come to know the difference between fear and prudence. Fear is understood as the irrational nervous energy spent on unknowable outcomes of future events. Whereas, prudence, is the discernment of a real and present danger in the now moment and knowing the action needed to resume safety.

They have done this by:

  1. Enjoying regular family time without devices.

  2. Encouraging and playing with their children outside in nature that is away from the busyness of city life.

  3. Not coercing their child into fear narratives that have been propagated by media outlets.

  4. Helping their children get exercise and feeding them good diets filled with quality fruits and vegetables, which helps their children grow strong and create resilience to diseases.

  5. Not forcing experimental medical interventions on their children (vaccines, masks, etc.)

  6. Using prudence to assess for safety and not turning to irrational fear stirred up by media outlets.

These steps have produced strong happy children who know the use of good common sense. Moreover, I have experienced them in my office, reporting more overall happiness and solidity in their psychological makeup. In terms of the family dynamics, those have improved as well with less family quarrels.

Hopefully, knowing this information can be a helpful guide in your own parenting. If you need help, support, or guidance through these issues you can reach out at our contact page and we would be happy to help. Just remember to keep giving your unique light and care to your children. They may not express this much, but you are the most important people in their lives.

The Private Gifting of Bitcoin Now Available at The Private Membership Association - DR. DUSTIN PLATTNER!

January 25, 2022 Dustin Plattner, Psy.D.

Bitcoin is a new form of money that is completely independent of centralized companies (banks, governments, etc.). It was created back in 2008 during the financial crisis here in America. It was the first digital currency to come to market in the world. Bitcoin continues to be the most decentralized [owned by the people of the world - Peer to Peer (P2P)], secure, private, auditable, cannot be counterfeited, and finite (limited to 21 million to be made for total supply) on the planet. Click the “Gift Bitcoin” at the top of the page to privately gift Bitcoin for a 30% discount at DR. DUSTIN PLATTNER or click here.

Here is one of the best sources for an almost complete review on how to use and understand bitcoin: Bitcoiner.Guide

A good bitcoin wallet for your computer is Sparrow Wallet.

A good bitcoin wallet for Android and Apple is Zeus

To buy and sell bitcoin Peer to Peer (P2P), sovereignly, and anonymously use Bisq (however, it is has a steep learning curve).

To get more information regarding bitcoin read the Bitcoin Wiki.
